Crete Carrier Pay Scale

Crete Carrier prides itself on offering drivers practical mileage pay for all miles.  Many other trucking companies in the industry pay drivers based off of household movers guide or short route miles.  Since Crete Carrier pays drivers for practical miles the driver in effect gets a better overall pay rate and will end up seeing more pay in their pockets for the miles that they actually drive.

Crete Carrier Company Drivers in National Fleet Pay Scale:

Crete Carriers is a certified Top Paying Carrier by the National Transportation Institute. Drivers with one more more years of experience will earn $.46 to $.49 CPM based on overall experience. Crete Carrier claims that the top 25% of their fleet earns more than $69,000 per year.

Crete Carrier Owner Operators Pay Scale:

Crete Carriers offers 2 different pay scale options for owner operators to choose from and like their company drivers, they calculate their mileage pay using practical mileage.

  1. Option 1: Sliding pay scale:  Create Carrier’s sliding pay scale for owner operators is as follows:
    • 1 – 150 Miles, $1.57 Rate + Fuel Surcharge*
    • 151 – 250 Miles, $1.37 Rate + Fuel Surcharge*
    • 251 – 700 Miles, $1.12 Rate + Fuel Surcharge*
    • 701 – 1,200 Miles, $1.06 Rate + Fuel Surcharge*
    • 1,201+ Miles, $0.96 Rate + Fuel Surcharge*
    • Deadhead Miles, $0.86 Rate
  2. Option 2: Flat Rate:
    Weekly home time:
  • 1 – 500 Miles, $1.00 Rate
  • 501 – 1,200 Miles, $0.97 Rate
  • 1,201+ Miles, $0.95 Rate

Bi-weekly home time:

  • 1 – 500 Miles, $1.01 Rate
  • 501 – 1,200 Miles, $0.98 Rate
  • 1,201+ Miles, $0.96 Rate

Crete Carriers Student Drivers Pay Scale:

Crete Carrier typically only hires experienced drivers, but they offer a student training program for truck drivers that have attended and graduated from one of their recognized CD training programs.  Check out Crete Carrier’s website to see if they recognize your truck driving school for this program.  While in Create Carrier’s training program drivers are compensated $600 a week while training. Once training is complete the drivers will get a rasie to $.36 cpm for practical miles.  After the driver reaches 6 months of employment with the company their pay rate will change to reflect that of the specific fleet they are actually on.

Crete Carrier Military Drivers Pay Scale:

Crete Carrier is proud to offer career opportunities to veterans who are transitioning back in civilian life. Drivers will be compensated $600 a week during the 8 week training, and will earn between $.37 and $.44 cents per practical mile after being released from the road training program.

If you are a Veteran you can qualify for the Crete Carrier’s military program if the following conditions are meet:
DD214 with 2 years of Active Duty Military experience in the last 5 years
1 year of military semi tractor trailer combination experience in the last 5 years or a recent graduate from a CDL driving school.

Crete Carrier Minimum Hiring Qualifications

Class A CDL with TWIC Card and Alabama Coil Certificate
Stable, verifiable work history

Crete Carrier Orientation Process

Crete Carrier’s orientation process is typically 2-3 days long. As part of the application process, Crete Carrier requires both company drivers and owner operators to attend an orientation class at one of following four orientation locations.

Lincoln, NE,
Lenior City, TN
New Kingstown, PA
Wilmer, TX

For company drivers Crete Carrier provides travel arrangements to the orientation facility and pays for lodging and meals.  Upon successful completion of orientation Crete Carrier pays $170 for the drivers time for orientation.

Owner operators joining the Crete team will be reimbursed for bobtailing their tractor to the orientation facility and lodging and meals are provided.
