Forward Air Minimum Hiring Qualifications

  • Class A CDL, HAZMAT endorsement with no restrictions
  • 23 years of age or older
  • 12 mos. OTR, multi-state tractor trailer experience in last 3 yrs. OR 2 yrs. OTR experience in last 5 yrs.
  • Pass maintain current DOT inspection
  • Meet all other FAF DOT standards qualifications
  • Pass DOT physical substance-abuse test
  • No more than 2 traffic violation convictions in last 3 yrs.
  • No more than 2 preventable accidents
  • No preventable DOT recordable accidents in last 3 yrs.
  • Read speak English as required in Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations

Forward Air Orientation Process

The 3 days paid orientation is conducted across all terminals. The lodging, transportation and meals are provided, while maximum miles are paid (based on driver’s experience).
