The company is known for providing exceptional service to customers. It provides nationwide dry van truckload, expedited truckload, intermodal, and logistics services to the manufacturing, retail, and automotive industries. A direct service to the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec is also available. The terminal locations include Little Rock, AR. North Jackson, OH, Willard, OH, Irving, TX, Laredo, TX, El Paso, TX, and Tontitown, AR (Company Headquarters). The company fleet consists of more than 1700 trucks and around 5000 trailers; all of late new models of Freightliner, Peterbilt and International.

Pam Transport Pay Scale

As stated by Pam Transport, their drivers, on average, earned over $94,000.00 in 2016. Drivers fresh out of driving school can earn as much as $40,000.00 their first year out of training.

All PAM Transport drivers are made to run team for 6 months during the 1st 12 months.  Pay is determined on the basis of performance and mileage:

 

  • 1st six months team driving (obligatory): $0.175 cpm
  • 2nd six months team driving: $0.19 cpm
  • 2nd six months solo driving: $0.25 cpm
  • After 1 year solo: $0.32 cpm

As per industry analysis reports, 1st year drivers may earn up to $50,000 through Team HazMat driving opportunities. Regional and dedicated positions are given on seniority and driver performance basis.

Pam Transport Orientation Process

Once a driver is hired, the company pays for transportation to one of its terminals for 3-4 days orientation. Locations for orientation include Tontitown, AR; North Little Rock, AR; North Jackson, OH; or Irving, TX. Once orientation is complete, a driver is assigned a tractor and dispatched on their first run. Meals and lodging are also provided during orientation.
